Yes. For you as a physician, the entire cooperation — from the first conversation, through hospital selection and help with formalities, to starting work — is completely free. We charge candidates no fees or commissions whatsoever.

No. We do not tie you to anything. You work with us for as long as you wish and can withdraw at any time.

We help both specialists who want to work in Germany and doctors who want to begin or continue specialty training (Assistenzarzt). We accept applications from all medical specialties.

The easiest way is to fill in our online application — we prepare the CV for you. You can also e-mail us at info@pro-medicus.org . We will reply, get to know your preferences and suggest specific hospitals. The first step is free and non-binding.

No. In the first phase we can present your professional profile anonymously. The hospital then sees the key information about your qualifications, experience, specialty, language level and expectations, but no data that could directly identify you. We share the full CV only with your consent and for a specific, suitable offer.

We ask for the CV in Word format — a ready-made template is available for download. We ask specialists to attach a catalogue of performed procedures, anaesthesias or examinations (Latin is welcome). This speeds up presenting your candidacy to hospitals.

It depends mainly on your language level and the pace of the Approbation in the given federal state. For some it takes a few months, for others longer — at every stage we tell you honestly where you stand. We describe the whole process step by step on the How it works.

The Approbation is the full, unlimited licence to practise medicine in Germany. As a physician with a diploma from the European Union you have a legal right to it — you receive the Approbation directly, without going through any temporary stage.

The Berufserlaubnis is a temporary permit that mainly concerns physicians with a diploma from outside the EU — as a rule, it does not apply to a Polish physician. We help you gather the documents and go through the Approbation procedure.

These are two different things. The Approbation is the licence to practise as a physician — for a doctor with an EU diploma it is always granted. The recognition of the specialist title is a separate procedure for your specialist qualification: for specialties on the EU list it happens automatically; for the few outside the list it works differently. So you can hold the licence to practise while sorting out the recognition of a specific specialist title separately.

Recognition of the specialist title is a procedure separate from the licence to practise (Approbation). Specialties on the EU list of specialist titles — whose conformity with the EU standard is confirmed by the Polish medical chamber — are recognised automatically , and most core specialties are on that list.

Some specialties are not on the list (for example diabetology) — the procedure then works differently and the authority assesses the equivalence of the training. In every case we help you gather the documents and go through the procedure.

Usually: your degree diploma, licence to practise, specialist diploma (if applicable), certificates of employment and a language certificate. Some documents require a certified translation — we tell you what to prepare and how. We have compiled the list in the section What you should prepare .

Yes — it is one of the pillars of our help. We guide you through diploma recognition and the Approbation, recognition of the specialist title, translations and contact with the authorities, step by step.

Hospitals usually expect a B2 or C1 certificate from the Goethe-Institut, ÖSD or telc. Language skills are one of the most important criteria for employers today. More in the section Language requirements.

It is an examination of medical German (specialist language), taken at the medical chamber (Ärztekammer). It is a prerequisite for the German licence to practise (Approbation). We advise you on when and where to take it.

No problem. We can start working together earlier, and you reach the required level and certificate along the way — together with us. Some positions (e.g. caring for Polish-speaking patients) are sometimes available even without German being required.

Usually: salaried employment, social protection (often with an additional pension scheme), attractive pay, and good conditions for professional and academic development.

All of them. Most often internal medicine, anaesthesiology, neurology, psychiatry, geriatrics, surgery and rehabilitation, but we accept applications for every specialty — including individual requests. See Specialties.

Yes. We help with the practicalities on site: registration, tax ID, bank account, insurance and finding a flat. And we stay in touch throughout your entire employment.
